Answer: Have a quiz night and in interval get Two packs of playing cards or you could do it with raffle tickets sell one for a pound put the other in a box when you have sold as many as you can get everyone who has bought one stand up call out one from box that person sits down etc carry on till only one standing they win a percentage of what money you have taken you keep the rest it gets good fun when only few left standing good luck

Fundraising Ideas For Kids At School

Question: What are some Fundraising Ideas that work?
I have a class of 500 students and I feel terrible because this year the fundraisers I tried: magazine sales, online sales, car wash (it was not allowed at our school), none brought in any money. I wanted to take the kids to an amusement park as a physics field trip. I am now taking only 2/3 the class because the rest could not pay for it. The other teachers are blaming me and I feel terrible. For next year, I decided were not going unless everyone goes. But how can I raise the $4000 I’ll need? I have some ideas but our principal is very picky and won’t allow much. She wouldn’t even allow chocolate sales because she says we already do that as a whole school fundraiser. Help!
Answer: First off, you did not fail, you were the only one who cared enough to try. Pretty easy to sit back and criticize.
I would like to suggest trying Fundraising Discount Cards. They are beneficial to the school(raising funds), the merchants on the cards (they get new patrons by offering a discount), and the consumers (for $10 they are able to save a considerable amount of money).
I have written many articles at http://www.easyfundraisingcards.com/blog/ outlining some of the benefits and also downfalls of fundraisers like candy bar sale, candles, cookie dough, online fundraising (they make it sound so easy don’t they?), and articles about fundraising in a recession.
Easy Fundraising Cards does all the work for you except for actually selling the cards (and we even help with that a bit) oh yah and We don’t charge you anything upfront, you pay from profits.
To make $4,000 you would need to sell 550 cards which you are able to buy for $3 each and then sell them for $10 (when you order 500 we give you 50 as a gift to help you reach your goal). that is just slightly over 1 card per student (they should be able to sell two or three times that many)
A card we did with an 300 student elementary school in California sold 750 cards. With about 580 cards sold before they even arrived. The person in charge, did spend a little time working with me to make sure the card was good, spent some time passing out our sales fliers, and then also collecting money and handing out cards. But this was less time than she would have spent on any other fundraiser.
I encourage you to visit our blog and read through our articles, with your experience you might find yourself nodding your head as you read. If it seems like something that might interest you, just request more information and we would be happy to discuss your fundraising needs.
