Question: ok, so i’m doing the 40 hour famine this year, and i really need some ideas on what i can do for fund raising.

ok, so i’m doing the 40 hour famine this year, and i really need some ideas on what i can do for fundraising. i was thinking about going door-to-door in our street, but i dont really know what to say..
i was also thinking about a garage sale, but i don’t know if they really attract people???
The 40 hour famine is a great cause, helping to stop child trafficing, slavery, and labour in india…. i just don’t know how to get my message across to get donations!!
any ideas would be really appreciated!!

Answer: Raising money to stop child trafficking is a great idea. But what you call a 40 hour famine is less than a 2 day fast!
I think that a garage sale would raise more money. People love to go to garage sales and other people just have too much and like to get rid of stuff.
Advertise in you local paper, usually free. and post little signs in your local supermarkets for donations. Say that you are having a fundraiser garage sale for… and that donations are needed and where they can be dropped off at or have others involved that can pick up stuff.
Then advertise the date, again for free, in your local paper of a fundraiser garage sale and post signs in the super markets and the streets. Also put up arrows for directions and you will be amazed how much you can make – at least $1,000 one thousand dollars in a day.
Much more than a 2 day fast would get you.
