Question: How do I ask coworkers to bake for a fundraising event?
I’m representing my department to raise money in any way for a big charity, the thing is I’m very new to the department and I’m not sure how to approach my coworkers and ask them to bake some goodies for a bake sale I’m organizing!
any ideas? I’m planning to send an email to my whole department,
thanks
I’m not good at asking people I barely know to help/donate..or ask for favors I feel a little uncofortable..how can i write a friendly but not so personal email…to the whole department.
Answer: To ensure the best response: -
Put up “teaser” posters round the office in advance of your email – perhaps a colourful image of a cake and the words “company bake off, coming soon!”
Make the title of your email unusual and catchy to ensure people open it.
Keep it as brief and to the point as possible to ensure people read it.
Make it sound fun so that people want to get involved.
Use the same colourful image of the cake to get their attention and so they recognise it’s part of the teaser campaign.
Make it obvious what they need to do (e.g. email you back if interested)
Hope that helps. Good luck with it.

Question: Ideas for a title for a senior pro-grad dinner, with many different themed tables?
My school is having a senior pro-grad Fundraising Dinner in February, and it doesn’t have one solid theme, instead each table is decorated in it’s own theme, and we need a name for the event.
Answer: Name it
