Fundraising Auctioneers

Question: Would you be mad at your husband if he spent $500 behind your back and refuses to cut expenses. ?
We we’re at his sons hockey fundraising night and they we’re auctioning hockey stick lessons. He was right behind me and I told him don’t you dare bid, in fact I was holding his hand down, turns out he just nodded to the auctioneer. When the bidding was over I thought the guy beside us won, then to my disgust my husband had won the $500 bid.
We have been trying to cut expenses(mostly me) he seems to keep spending, but when I want to get something it’s an outright no. His childrens expenses are very high as well as his other toys ie a boat. His one son is in winter hockey as well as summer hockey and my husband no longer has much time to earn the extra money to pay for these things as he did before we got married because of the summer hockey so it comes from my earnings. He refuses to cut his expenses or the summer hockey which is $6000 and just says we’ll find the money somewhere.
Answer: I would open up my own bank account and say we will split the necessary bills 50/50. I will do with my money what I want and you do with your what you want. If you spend all your money don’t expect me to bail you out. Maybe you should be man enough to support your family. And then start spending the money you earn on yourself because it is apparent he has done this through out your relationship and why should you have to suffer because of him.
