Easy Fund Raising Ideas

Question: Does anyone know of any charities – especially kids ones, that need a fundraiser?

Im training to be a youth worker and have over 20 years of Fundraising Experience. Also qualified as a secretary with many years of doing that also. Want to do some fundraising/organising events for a local charity based ideally in leeds or wakefield., especially one aimed towards disabled kids.

Answer: Take a pause and think ….

1. Since your target organisation has to be in a very localised area, then there is little to be gained by asking the whole world via Yahoo! Answers.

2. You should have focused your search on local media – Yellow Pages, Thompsons, community websites, community radio etc.

3. On Yahoo! Answers you can expect to get very little response, and often unhelpful replies. What you need is a list of organisations from a source free of any self-interest or favouritism, and you are extremely unlikely to get that here.
