Question: how to legally organise fundraising?
hi my 8 month old son has just been diagnosed with a very rare brain disease called a leukodystrophy. we’ve been told it looks like alexanders disease. since were not in a financial situation to fund any treatment he may require or specialist equipment, family and friends have been organising fund raising events we’ve had a Hawaiian night in our local pub, a fancy dress pub crawl we have organised a artist night in a pub and are doing a sponsored walk in the next few weeks. we haven’t managed to set anything up legally as we are unsure how to do this. we live in the uk have been searching the net and haven’t found anything. help would be appreciated as we don’t want to break any rules etc..
Answer: get help from your local city to register it as a fundraiser
