Question: Fundraising not allowed, yet school store is?
I am in my schools German Club (Students who are enrolled in german class), and we every year have sold German gummi candy (Haribo Roulette). And we got word that we could not this year, supposedly b/c it is “unhealthy”, where as the school store, which sells everything from t-shirts to contact paper, can sell things like 3 Muskateers, and Blow Pops, even Fruit Roll-Ups! Is this right? Is there anything that we can do about it?
Answer: You can address your concerns to the school board. If they are on a health kick you are more likely to get the candy removed from the store then get your fund raiser approved.
