Fundraising Activities For Kids

Question: Any advice for me – what should I do? Here is the situation:?

My husband will not go to counseling. I go alone. There is no affair involved.

My marriage has had trouble for years. No fighting anymore, but I don’t think it is much of a marriage. We share no dreams, have no friends, we do nothing together in the community (church, kids activities) & no sex unless I ask. We work on the house – it’s like a hobby.

I am in a fundraising activity that requires me to train physically. I have been gone Saturday mornings for 2 weeks. My husband is mad and grouchy when I get home, but I am determined to not let this stop me since I have in the past. One of my kids schools at home until June, so I have no break. Husband has work functions at least one night a week and I have 3 kids in many activities. He loves his kids, but they are clearly a burden to him.

I am no longer a bubbly person; my mood is somber all the time. I am unbearably lonely. I’ve lost all friends and church b/c of the turmoil. I’m blue, isolated. He is grouchy and unhappy.

Answer: You said a key thing there, No fighting anymore. What you were fighting about is the reason for what you have now. A man will hold the reasons for those fights as he failed as a man. It does not mater that he was right or wrong, he failed to many times. It festers into the problems you are having now. They give up! Nothing maters anymore, and a controlled hate takes over. A hate of everything they are involved in, even their kids. Not the kind of hate that is going to be brutal by intention, but one that is brutal to the relationship of the family. He needs help, not you! Unless you have a PhD in mental health, you can not help him. You can do one of three things. Leave him. Suffer with him. Get him help. Take what everyone writes here as trying to help. But No One can tell you what one to pick, or do, you have to do that. I pray that you pick the right one for you.

Question: I need Fundraising Ideas!?

I homeschool 3 of my children through a state funded program. We have the opportunity to attend the Presidential Inauguration in Washington DC in January. The cost of the trip is $510.00 per person, includes transportation, hotel, meals, and tours, as well as the Inauguration. This is a once in a lifetine opportunity for my children. We were told to do fundraising to help with the costs. How can I do enough fundraising for $2000 in 4 months time?

Answer: Ask a local reporter from the newspaper if she will interview you about your trip. That will get you discovered by the community. If that works, offer to go on the local tv station morning show at 6am.
My friend went to the last inauguration and loved it.
