Question: Serious Fundraising Ideas?
Please no rude or unnecessary comments!
Need some serious ideas on how to raise money for a family in desperate need of some community support.
There are two sisters in my son’s school who both have a genetic kidney disease that will eventually require them to need a transplant. The older one has been very very ill and has been in/out of the hospital all year.The family has no insurance and has already lost their home. There has been a lot of school support and fundraising but just not enough. I am looking for some really good ideas that I can implement to raise some serious cash to help this good family. Understand they have never asked for help but it is apparent they could definately use it.
It needs to be something that I can set up by a small group of people until I can gather more support. Also need advice on how to hit up large companies for support, like Walmart, Target, ChickfilA……

Answer: We got gallons of spaghetti already cooked, bread, and salad from a dinner, and put on a “Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser.” You need a large place with tables and chairs, people to serve, and set up and clean up…ADVERTIZE it….also buy soda, bottled water to re-sell at the Event! We only made 2-3 thousand dollars, but it was still a nice about.
Oh, we had an American Legion to give us the hall to use free.
