Question: Anybody have good Fundraising Ideas?

I want to open a kid fun and kid safe card/ comic & toy shop. school. I don’t have very much start up funds, nor the greatest credit. There’s a trade center (Gibraltar Trade Center) consit of several booths with small business, mine is a little card/toy shop wich is a busy place. I have probably only 400 sq ft. This place is always packed. I haveve acess to the show area, so I have a nice size area yu-gi-oh, Magic,& other tournaments. The problem is the trade center’s only open 3 days a week and just raised their rent to $1200 a month. For about $800 more(everything included) I have found a building right next to a high school and elementry school, in a plaza perfect location! what I would offer incentives for kids to keep good grades by giving store credit for good grades. I think school is impportant. Do you think the school, or church would help raise funds to keep kids of the street? Even if they don’t, what are some good Fundraising Ideas? More detail in my profile. Any ideas?

Answer: It never hurts to ask!!! Knock on businesses doors and ask them to support you and your scheme. But go prepared and have a polished sales patter. Good luck..;

There are many way school fund raisers can raise money. School fund raisers are often student of any grades working on a project either in small groups or as a class. There are many ways school fund raisers can make money. Younger school fund raisers often make money off of parents whereas high school fund raisers often find new and various ways to raise funds.

How can school fund raisers raise funds?

Depending on why school fund raisers need to raise money, there are many different ways to go about fund raising.Once school fund raisers know why they need to raise money, they need to figure out how long they have to raise the cash. It is useful to list the number of ways you can fund raise in the time frame that you have. For example, if the school or class needs to raise funds in a week, short term projects need to be planned rather than long term.

School plays

Having a school play is a great way to raise money. School fund raisers can participate in the school play either on the stage or preparing for the play. Some school fund raisers who can act can be in the play whereas others can be in charge of lighting, music, props, tickets, and advertising. There are many jobs in a school play that all school fund raisers can be involved with.

However, a school play takes time and lots of preparation so if you have a short amount of time to fund raise, a school play may not be the right fund raising idea.

Sale Sale Sale

Having a sale is a quick fund raising way for school fund raisers to get involved in. There are many things that can be sold such as good, snacks, drinks, cookies, and other items. Schools can get cheap supplies and then have student make items for sale.
