Question: What kind of jobs should I apply for with a masters, a BAS, and AAS in Information Systems?

I am currently pursuing a Masters in Information Systems. I currently have a BAS in Technology Management and an AAS in Computer Networking. Right now, I work at a small private school, obtaining grants, researching new programs, working with parents & students, and fundraising. I got this job after staying home for three years and being out of the industry for 7. (I used to be a IT Manager for small telecommunications company that went bust in 2001). I really want to get back in IT (especially for the $) and I want to make sure that the education that I am getting will be marketable. I just don’t know what types of jobs to go for. Can any one give me some ideas? I live in Atlanta.

Answer: Do a job search on ‘analyst’ and you will see some very good variations of jobs related to your experience and interests. A lot of programming jobs are being outsourced, but the need for analysts are increasing.

Question: How do I create a thermometer in Excel?

I am trying to create a goal thermometer in Excel. I went to HELP, but that didn’t “help” me, Bc I have Vista and not 07. I want to show the progress of our team’s fundraising goal. The goal is $75,000. So far $6390 has been raised – 9%. When I originally attempted the chart, it only went up to 10%. I want it to show the full 100%. I would also like to title my chart. The title will change based on the fundraising goal. Please answer in basic steps. I am pretty familiar with Excel, but I don’t want to miss sanything. Thanks.

Answer: Follow the steps given Thermometer Chart in Excel http://www.mrexcel.com/tip095.shtml
